I\’ve owned multiple immersion blenders from cheap to commercial. Most can be used for making slushies ( blending ice cubes until slush) but not this one. After doing it twice the plastic gears inside were damaged and it wouldn\’t function properly. It has good power for emulsion purposes but nothing else. Save up for a more high quality one and you\’ll be better off…if this is something you use frequently.

They are not carried in store anymore. I had mine for 5 years and I fear the part that connects the chopper to the motor is going to give out. It’s the third and longest lasting one I’ve had. Blending soup was the first thing I did. It’s easy. Now using a lot of liquefy spinach for smoothie making. It will crush ice, but I don’t recommend it. I fear that the grinder will stop working.

This is not a good thing. It was burning the electronics when mixing egg whites and cottage cheese. It is loud and vibrates too much. It was replaced with Kitchen Aid. Quiet, no noise, no burning electronics.
