After owning 3 of the more expensive and harder to clean grind and brew brands this is a very nice improvement. It is also much quieter than the others. I could never make coffee with guests in the kitchen due to the loud noise in the other coffee grinders, now I can. My husband and I hated the messy cleaning of the other brands and now we don\’t have to toss a coin to see who will do the coffee prep.
My only negative comment is r/t the temperature of the coffee and I am afraid the \”warming plate\” doesn\’t really warm it. In the past we could find very hot coffee in our carafe 2 or 3 hours after it was made. I don\’t understand how the construction of the \’other\’ makers carafe could be different. We never put hot water into the previous carafes prior to using. ( It would not have been possible as we used the auto timer setting the night before and would not have been there to hot prep the carafe. When you add the cream to the coffee it is just right but wait an hour and you need to pop it into the microwave for 20 sec.

The old Melitta Mill and brew needs to be replaced. There is no grind setting, but the mechanics are the same. We couldn’t get the coffee to have the flavor we wanted. It was taken back after the first pot.

I have had a coffee maker for a while. It was a year old when it started leaking. When I make coffee, I have to put towels around it. I need a new coffee maker. I thought this was a good buy and had no complaints until it started leaking. I have tried many times to clean it, but it won’t stop leaking. The coffee maker does not last very long.

The coffee maker is terrible. I cleaned the coffee maker three times and it still tasted like plastic. As soon as it is done, it shuts down. There isn’t a hot plate or carafe to keep your coffee hot. I haven’t had a decent cup of coffee since I bought this and will be returning it as soon as possible. The only positive thing about it is that there are less parts to clean and the grinder is much quieter.

I bought my daughter a coffee maker for Christmas. She didn’t like that the coffee didn’t stay hot enough for her liking. She was fine with that. After her husband bought her a different brand, she returned the BHG to me. I’ve been using it for over a month. I can grind the beans in the unit. Freshly ground coffee is the best. There is a hole in the ground coffee from the spinning of the blades. When water drips into a hole and is not correctly soaking the grounds, it means weak coffee and wasted ground beans. I had to use a spoon after griding to level out the grounds and have had better results. The thermal carafe doesn’t keep coffee hot for very long, but in my case, that’s ok because I don’t like my coffee steaming hot. The carafe lid can be difficult to handle, it has to be open to a certain spot or it won’t pour, and sometimes I have problems getting it to initially twist on correctly. I wouldn’t purchase another Coffee Maker.

To keep coffee hotter after the brew cycle is to turn off the grind and then press the start button. The warmer plate will auto shut down if this is not changed. T.

A very attractive item is worthless. If you like a flood of water and coffee pouring out on your counter top, a non-programable item and cold coffee, this is the ice coffee maker for you. The twist on lid to the pot needs to be perfectly aligned in order for it to work correctly. And as I said before… The coffee needs to be heated in the microwave. Going back to the store. Don’t waste your money and time on this product.

I love the appearence but it’s hard to work it. I set the programer so I don’t have to get up and make coffee and warm the pot because it doesn’t keep the coffee hot. HELLO. The system for getting the coffee into the pot is faulty, the coffee drips down into a trough that circles the whole lid, there is usually coffee in the trough before it dries. You have to turn the lid half a turn to pour and it always leaks and drips, I have to wipe the pot and counter after every pour. How does everyone else clean the grounds basket? My husband likes going down the drain to rinse the basket. It says 10 cups but must be small. I don’t like this coffee maker. Is anyone interested in buying a slightly used coffee maker? Not true.

A coffee maker with a thermal carafe was what my husband wanted. I don’t like the coffee maker. The coffee is not hot but I don’t know what it is. The coffee is not hot. The thermal coffee maker kept the coffee hot for hours. I wanted to try the grind and you offered the best price. Very disappointed.
