My husband picked this coffee pot out and I am ready to throw it in the trash!!!! I dont know if we just got a defected coffee pot, but this one spills the water everywhere when pouring it into water reservoir and when you pour a cup of coffee, it spills no matter how we try and pour it , I wish we would have saved the box and the receipt i would have returned it. I am going today to buy a new one that actually keeps the coffee hot and doesn\’t spill!!!!!!

The model seems to be a replacement for cm 1509. I have owned it for a long time. I think I bought it in 20010. I like the 8 cup size. It takes a long time for the coffee to warm up. I like that it stops. I don’t know if I left the coffee pot on. After a while, I was unable to pour coffee without removing the lid. It was possible to buy a replacement lid. The new lid has lasted at least one year, but now it is broken, I’m not sure when I purchased the replacement. I would be happy to replace the lid again. I can’t find an 8 cup coffee maker with a thermal carafe to replace this one.

2 of these have the same problem with the electronic contrpls and they don’t work. Wait til they send another or buy another product if you want to top it off. Black and Decker will be replaced with another brand and the 2 replacements they send as spare will be sold.

The coffee maker has a problem with coffee being made all over the counter with the risk of burning small children. The feature does not work. The rest of the brew goes to the counter when you get your coffee. The spring on the bottom of the coffee basket is a problem. When I called about the problem, they immediately acknowledged the problem and sent me a non-thermal coffee maker.
