I love this handy dandy hand held blender. When I ordered it, I expected it to fit my needs better. I took the blender out of the box and used the plug that came with it to charge it up. The only problem I had with it was when I took the jar loose from the base, the jar had chips break off around the threads at its base. I worried that this could cause it to leak, but once I filled it with water and put it through a test run, I realized that the way the device is designed doesn’t pose any problems now or in the future. A friend of mine bought one and hers came the same way. Neither of us have had any issues with our blenders, so I will keep mine and not exchange it. The jar screws down on the plastic/rubber seal inside the base to prevent it from leaking. It is easy to clean up. It’s very easy to clean the blender because it’s in water. I have made several kinds of fruit smoothie with nuts and it is very smooth and tasty. I haven’t made anything with ice yet, but I’m sure this little blender can handle the job when I get around to trying it. I give it two thumbs up and recommend it to anyone who is on the go and needs a portable device such as this to carry with them anywhere they are going.

Not for frozen drinks. It’s hard to break up ice. It works well for shakes and drinks. It was difficult to charge. I had to play with the cord and be careful not to move it. After just 3 months of moderate use, the shaft that the blades screw on to sheared off, was the biggest disappointment. They make it seem like the clean up is easy. The upper and lower seals need to be cleaned each time. Before you get sick, you need to check under your seals. After each use, any blender needs to be cleaned.
