I am happy with my press. You need to use coarse ground coffee. I want a grinder. You can stir the hot water. It takes about 4-7 minutes to get the coffee. When pouring the coffe, use plastic to not damage the sides. Fine coffe will ruin the filter. It is easy to take apart but you have to be careful as the filter is a tiny bit flimsy and it might break if you are harsh. The glass beaker can fall and break. It will break if you drop it. To clean the screen mount, be gentle. If you leave it out on the counter, it will look nice.

I bought a similar model at MySaveMall a few years back, but it was not as sturdy as this one. Unless the glass was broken, it’s impossible for the bottom between the glass and metal to leak. If you don’t take the glass out to clean it, the water will come out when you pour it. It’s not really a big deal.

I cracked the glass on the old Chambord that I bought the Kenyan Bodum to replace. Bodums have the same fresh brew flavor as the quick kcup type makers. I don’t like buying paper filters. You don’t need a paddle to toss a little water around in the garden.

The only reason it’s getting 4 stars is because the glass came off of the plastic after one wash so when I pour the coffee there is spillage on the bottom from the wash. I thought the glass broke when it got trapped between the plastic and the water.

I bought a press for a friend. The instructions say you shouldn’t have any trouble if you use course ground coffee. I make you fill it with hot water. I have been camping multiple times and it is still holding up.
