I have had several glass carafe French Presses break. The glass ones should not break if you are careful. It happens! I decided to give this item a try because I prefer glass to plastic. It\’s made better than my earlier ones, it has a rubber gasket on the screen to keep grounds out of the coffee, and it has an extra screening in the lid near the spout. The frother is great. I\’m having a lot of fun making drinks. It\’s quicker and easier than the cappuccino machine I used to have. I froth almond milk on the stove. This is an excellent deal, it\’s an unbreakable, better design for keeping coffee grounds out, free shipping, great price and free frother. Thanks!

I bought it because it was on sale and I read the reviews. I think I’m clumsy because I’ve had a mess, a part that’s been removed and grounds in my cup. It’s a pretty red color.

My favorite part of this is the fact that it is plastic. The last glass french press I will buy is the one that cracked and shattered. I’ve been using this daily for almost two weeks. The small sieve holes make pressing it harder than in my previous french press, but I find because the sieve is tighter, I’m getting less of those coffee bits in the bottom of my cup.

There is only room for one coffee maker in my house and I like a different flavor of coffee than everyone else. The press was what I needed and I love it! It makes better coffee than the machine. That is plastic. We still get the ground coffe in our cup even though the filter doesn’t do its job. I wouldn’t recommend it. I like the way it looks, but I’m not satisfied.

I’m glad I bought this coffee press. It is made of plastic. I don’t know if it’s dishwasher safe, but I have never had a problem washing it in the dishwasher.

The coffee was cracked and now leaks. It will have to be returned. Do not believe the 8 cup designation. Four ounces. When you allow enough space for the grounds, you can get about 2 1/2 actual cups of coffee.

The piece with the stick coming out is a bit flimsy. The plastic absorbs any flavor, so don’t switch between coffee and tea or bewltween different flavors. The plastic looks very “unclassy” because it is opaque. The coffe is not squeezes all the way down leaving you with less water than you put in, which is a problem if you are making 8 cups.
