The bottom of the unit can get very hot if put on a heat proof pad. The first time I used it, I burned my hand.

The instructions and explanations for attaching the power cord to the pan were clear. I have been able to connect and disconnected it. I’ve only used it a few times, but it does what it’s described as: takes a while to warm up, cooks evenly, marks on the dial are explained in directions, and apparently are accurate. My fried eggs looked better than any I have made in a long time, and just right in the center. I didn’t evaluate it because I had it for a short time and it washed easily.

I don’t like to heat the stove for a big pan. The size is perfect. I don’t remove the handle because it’s a pain to put in. I can store the pan easily because it is small. There is a light in the description. I don’t have one.
