I only used the mixer once to make mashed potatoes. I was amazed by the power. I was able to whip up the potatoes quickly. Yes, beats mashing! I just started baking and this will be great for mixing lightthinner ingredients and beating eggs. It is easy to hold for someone with older hands and wrists. It has an additional egg whisk and two beaters.

I only gave it 4 stars because it is heavy. I was willing to pay that price for the mixing capabilities. The power is the best. I make a lot of mints and mix them together without any problems. The old hand-held mixer is in excellent condition and I’ve been frustrated with it for a long time. The dishwasher can’t clean old fashioned beaters because food gets trapped on the inside of the blades. I use a toothbrush to make sure the old beaters don’t retain food particles. The wire whisk beaters are the perfect solution to clean up. They come out of the dishwasher sparkling because of the rounded wire blade construction. Less metal is used in this superior design, which means less natural resources are used, as I realized when picking up the beaters. Even a quarter ounce less metal in each set saves tons of metal.
