It seems like a good design and convenient size. My previous kettle was glass and broke when I accidentally bumped a tile, so I\’m happy with this design with a window that I can actually see water level. I have to keep checking. When the kettle is returned to it\’s base, there is a manual to figure out how to turn off the \”keep warm\” feature.

I bought this kettle because of the good reviews and because it had a metal hinge, unlike my previous kettle which had a plastic one. I can choose from a range of temperatures for the type of tea, whereas the B & D had no temperature choices. I don’t have to worry about it over boiling because the Cuisinart shuts off after a few minutes if I forget to turn it off. The lid doesn’t open as far back as I’d like so I have to be careful when refilling it.

I bought this kettle to replace my previous one. Warm water for dehydrated cat food and hot water for green tea and black tea can be obtained. It’s larger than my kettle, but it hasn’t felt large on my countertop. I don’t need it to hold the temp, so I couldn’t find a way to turn it off. For 30’s, pressing the Start button turned it off.

It’s a great appliance for people who like to make delicate teas and certain types of coffees. The water temperature can affect the experience. Although it is a bit pricey, this pot is highly recommended. The price was tolerable because of the quality and brand name. My only complaint is that the function and temperature buttons are painted on numbers and directions. It’s best to memorize the numbers because they will quickly wear off. It would have been so easy for these buttons to be engraved and for an appliance that costs so much from such aReputable manufacturer, I find this oversight extremely disappointing.

I was looking for an electric kettle that wasn’t as heavy as a Breville and had a lower temperature setting. The one from Cuisinart had all the requirements. It is sturdy and not too heavy, and it has a setting of 160 degrees, which is the temperature I needed for my tea. I give it 5 stars for a number of reasons.
