I would definitely recommend this espresso maker. It is inexpensive and works like a CHARM! Great milk foam with no work at all. I am buying another one for my daughter this week. I have already made over 20 cappuccinos and it has given me NO problems at all.

Better than other brands we have purchased. Excellent value for the price!

Not good for steaming milk as any water used for steaming is dispensed same time as coffee and affects the strength of the coffee.its a low cost machine but doesn’t make a good espresso or latte.

I guess for the money it is OK, if you wish to waste the money. Spend a few dollars more and purchase something more durable. Poor construction, does not live up to its billing.

I have had this for about 2 weeks and it makes great Espresso. It takes about 12 mins. to brew.
Its easy to unscrew.

Pros: Overall make good espresso. Very safe to use. brews fast and is nice and hot. Easy to use and cleans easy. Looks nice…
Cons: The frothier is not well designed and doesn’t heat long enough to get milk hot.
I don’t froth too often, I bought a hand held device in case I need to use it. For the price the value is good.

I called and talked to a guy, and told him to write a note on the computer that when the article I ordered would be in stock, I wanted to receive an email telling me about it, so that I would return the article you had sent. I’m still waiting for that email, because I have 90 days to return the EC5. But I will say its a great steam coffee maker, but still, that was not the one I ordered. The picture for the the one I ordered was different, it had a button on top about mild, strong, or supreme.

The frother tube is plastic and prone to break. They are also discontinued so if they break, that is the end of the frother tube.

At first I intended this as a gift for my wife’s office. She get’s a new job but without a coffee machine so I bought this one according to the kind of coffee she like and the reviews I read about it and the use she would have of it.
This one will never go out of our house as my wife love it and use it. We have a regular coffee machine but this one has become our first way of making coffee0
There is some things that can be improved yes, but the overal quality is very good and the coffee, provided you use the correct ingredients is very good.
One of the thing I dislike is that the coffee is in a small metal cup which is not easy to clean up between coffees because it stay hot a long time.

The espresso pot that I heat up on the stove shoots hot water through the coffee, and up to the top. For an example of that pot, see the movie Johnny Stecchino. Just like me, mine was made in America. You can get it at any hardware store in Manhattan. The price is $20. I thought the De Longhi thing used steam. It uses a lot of energy to push the hot water up and down to the coffee. I’m sorry, I bought it. I knew it was a waste of time when I had water flow through it twice. I know what I’m talking about because I’m an Italian-American carpenter. I should have known that a cheap thing is not a bargain. What is the pressure? It was a waste of time.
