I can move my cooking space out of my kitchen with this portable hotplate. When preparing dinner, the options open up. My family and I were able to recreate some of the restaurant cuisine we were craving like hotpot and KBBQ thanks to this hotplate. We were able to keep our soup base nice and hot as we dropped veggies and fish balls into it. It seemed to heat evenly when I used it to grill meat. That made it feel like a freshly grilled KBBQ on the table. It takes a bit longer to heat up some of my cookware but I think that is expected and works well with some patience. It is an extra plus that it is easy to clean. The exposed coil hotplates are more difficult to clean and take care of.
