A few weeks ago, my 5-year-old Mr. Coffee maker bit it… The leaking came from the reservoir. When my friend gave me this coffee pot for christmas, I retired it so I could wake up to hot coffee in the morning. The new coffee pot was terrible. You can’t just put the lid in the dishwasher. When you try to pour a cup of coffee, the liquid just runs down the side of the pot and drips all over the place, because the spout is poorly shaped. The warming plate gets very hot. The heat cracked the glass on the carafe less than three days after I received it. I think the reason the carafe cracked was because it was too hot for too long. It’s impossible to find a replacement for the oddly shaped carafe. I’m going to buy a new toy. Coffee right now…

You can’t fill the coffee maker without dripping over the counter because the slot is so narrow. Water runs down the side of the coffee maker’s carafe when you try to fill it, because it’s shaped weird. We won’t be able to replace the carafe if something happens. The basket for the coffee doesn’t seem dishwasher safe, it gets grungy after one use, it gets discolored after two uses, and it doesn’t seem safe to clean because it doesn’t use filters. We can run it through the dishwasher because the lid doesn’t come off. This isn’t a good product but it’s hardly usable, it’s the first product I’ve ever purchased from Walmart that wasn’t a good product. As soon as the new Mr. is inaugurated, it’s going in the garbage. Coffee is here!
