Expectations should be reasonable since this is a budget grinder. Life span? Who knows? I expect the same from any other appliance. You can’t fault it for grinding the beans. The longer you grind, the fewer beans you will find. The cord is not a tripping hazard. It’s more difficult to chop beans by hand. It’s easy to clean and it doesn’t take up a lot of space compared to a large coffee mug. I’m not disappointed with it.
