I bought this machine in December. The pump didn’t work after one use, so I took the first one back. I thought it was an issue with that machine. My husband and I think the new one is just as good as the coffee stands, and have not had any problems with it. I ask the person at the drive-through to grind me a pound if I need it. I also buy Starbucks for my coffee maker. I use a metal measuring cup to catch espresso. I used a permanent marker to mark the inside of the cup. I’m lazy and the steamer works well. I warm my milk or water in the microwave, but I couldn’t get the coffee to brew. You should have no problem if you don’t tap your espresso grounds too tightly. Do not leave the machine on after you use it. The water level should not be low. I think it’s crazy to spend hundreds of dollars on a fancy machine when I expect it to last a long time.

The machine works better than I anticipated. I worked for Starbucks for five years and I’m a tough person to please. I discovered that most pump machines are the same. After a few tries, I was getting great shots from the machine, which steamed milk much quicker than I expected. If you make capps and lattes, it doesn’t matter if you don’t get any crema. Making foam has nothing to do with the machine. The machine was elevated off the counter because the steam wand was very low. Only shot glasses fit under the portafilter. The machine is easy to work around and is an incredible buy. The $200 machine that Starbucks sells works just as well. You can ask for a demonstration if you want to learn how to make better drinks.
