I researched several coffee pots before purchasing this one, I’m glad to say it’s everything I wanted and I’m very pleased, I can enjoy my favorite keurig coffees when I want or make a full pot when needed. Both features work well.

Pro’s1. One cup or a pot2 is what I like to brew. On the single serve sideCon’s1, I like the idea of using K cups or ground coffee. Not all K cups work. Coffee and tea are fine, but if you want to use a tea that has powder, it will not work because it pierces the bottom and all the powder runs out before you can get it in place to brew. Coffee and tea are suspended in the K cups at the top so it is not a problem. What’s the point of having a fancy coffee machine if you can just pour the powder from the K cup into the cup and heat up water in the microwave? I bought a caramel macchiato K cup and it wouldn’t pierce the cup or stay down so it wouldn’t pierce the top. Again, a wasted cup. You can only fill one cup at a time. You have to brew a pot and start over if you go over, like for a larger travel mug. It was annoying. Only the pot side is changeable. The hot plate is always hot. The hot plate under the pot is very hot, even for the single cup side. I decided to return for a true Keurig so I could enjoy my macchiato’s. This is perfect if you only plan on using the coffee or tea K cups.

It will not poke a hole in the top of the K cup over half the time. I trashed the box and receipt, the only reason I haven’t returned it. The pot warmer on the other side of the K cup has to be removed if you are not using it. It needs some work. You might want to wait.
