I was using a smaller pot before so I\’m familiar with brewing coffee this way. This pot works fine but, while cooking, the steam condensed and channeled into water drips down at the handle. Water drips dropped onto the hot cook top and sizzled. I am using a flat coop top and these water drips created dark spots on the cook top each time.

It makes great coffee and tea, but can be difficult to get it to brew completely within leaking. The upper half of the threads were a bit rougher than I would have liked, but they seem to get better after a few uses. It is a worthwhile pickup for the price.

For someone who drinks coffee regularly, the 3 cup size is good. The device’s pressure isn’t high enough to make espresso. This isn’t a flaw in the design, but a flaw in what Imusa is calling it. A strong coffee can be made from this moka pot. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, it’s inexpensive, and built well. I cut my finger on the flat metal disk part, so be careful with it.

It leaks no matter what I do. I used to make Cuban coffee when I was a kid. When pouring coffee the kettle leaks. I make sure the base is empty when I close it. I close it tightly. It seems no matter what I do it leaks and makes a mess. I haven’t been able to return it because I use it many times a day. The top turned a different color when I washed it.
