Ninja broke, not the base. Cant get the jars anymore, so i thought I’d get something that doesnt require jars. Theres less to clean that way. I wasnt prepared for how completely awesome this appliance is! Just keep it close to the bottom of the container or pot, otherwise you’ll create a mess. Easy to clean, easy to use.

On/off is on the front. Liked that the speed control was on the top. (see photo) Also that the appliance comes apart for easy cleaning. The included beaker is good quality, holds 3 cups, and comes with a nice top for storage purposes. Electrical cord is round, gray/black and sturdy. Would recommend to others.

It’s simple set up… use right out of the box!!! So simple! It worked like a charm to emulsify my roasted veggies for tomatoes soup!!!

This item blends well, but I have only had it for 3 days and it has rust spots on the inside of the blending part. I would think that for almost $40 and it being a kitchen appliance that regularly gets wet, it should not rust. I have never had a kitchen appliance show rust this quickly.

This is a great kitchen tool. used to smooth out a soup i made. worked great. be forwarned… the protective piece that fits on the end of this to keep from scratching certain pans is not included even though it is pictured on the box. that item is extra. otherwise i love, love, love this blender.

Mine is missing the pan protector unfortunately. But I’ve never had an immersion blender before. I am in loveee with it. Used it tonight for the first time to make my homemade pasta sauce. So much easier than dragging out my big old food processor. I just mixed it all up right in my measuring cup. Perfect!

Got this KitchenAid 2-Speed Hand Blender thinking it’d be my new kitchen sidekick. It’s got two speeds: ‘Blend’ and ‘Oh, you thought you were done blending?’ It’s like having a tiny, loud, very effective tornado in your hand. Only downside? It’s so good at its job, it might just blend your enthusiasm for cooking right out of you. 5 stars for performance, minus 2 for the existential crisis it gives your ingredients.

KitchenAid model KHB1231 ER Works well, blends everything as it should. BUT I liked my old Cuisinart better ! (TSA took the blade portion of my Cuisinart so had to buy a new one-the Cuisinart was still working quite quite well after years of service). What I don’t like about the KitchenAid is that it is a bit more effort to install the blade on the motor portion. You have to put it on and then twist it to lock and you have to get the positioning just right so that it twists into place to lock correctly. With my Cuisinart, it just straight clicked into place, pretty much no matter where you positioned the blade portion. The other thing I don’t care for is the need to actually twist a dial on the top of the unit to change the speed. On my Cuisinart there were two ergonomic buttons-one was high speed one was low speed. You could blend all by feel and you could do everything one-handed and/or use your other hand to add ingredients as you blended. You could even disengage the blade portion with a push button one-handed if you needed to leave it in your drink, while you walked away to get another ingredient. (If you did not disengage the two parts, the weight of the whole unit would tip over your drink) The ability to one-handedly disengage the blade portion was very useful to me. I don’t know if all Cuisinart models have this design, but I really liked it. With the KitchenAid you need both hands. It is just not as intuitively simple or efficiently. So it’s a fine stick blender, works great %26 blends well but ease of operation not as much. Granted this is a first world problem and not a dealbreaker. But if my KitchenAid ever gives up and dies, I will definitely go back to Cuisinart (at least the model I had with the simple push button functions. Cuisinart did everything you needed it to do, but more elegantly %26 efficiently without any wasted, fussing or changing hands. It was just quicker and easier to use, which is the whole point of a stick blender in my opinion. : )

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m used to using 1HP professional immersion blenders(Thunder Sticks) in 10 gallons of soup and sauces. This can do the same thing, in 10 gallon batches, it just takes longer. Hence the junior title. For home use, having a slow speed helps in case you don’t have big pots to prevent splatter.

While I absolutely love mine and have used it 5x since purchasing mine only seems to have one button and one speed, and one button you hold while using. It’s the same
As what the instructions that came with it said. No two speeds here. But other than that it works great. I wish I could turn it on and leave it on until I pressed the button again because holding it does hurt after a while especially when you’re trying to make soups extra creamy.
