I have the same problem as many other people. The base of the whisk leaves a black mark on my hands. This is an issue that many are having and hopefully it will be fixed. This makes it hard to use.

My parents have an older kitchen aid, and their whisk does not have these issues. It was fine as long as I washed it, but after putting it into the dishwasher it turned black and there was a black substance on my hands. Have been looking for a replacement for a long time. It was disappointing.

I have a Kitchen Aid mixer and the wire whisk from years ago and I love it, it’s still shiny and looks new, it’s never been in the dishwasher. The whisk is not shiny, it looks used, and it made my hands smell like metal after I held it. I don’t think he would use it in his food. Where is it from? I’m not sure if it’s the USA or not.

Everyone seems to be having an issue where the base is unfinished and oily and smudges on everything. I’m afraid that it will get into the food.

I love my stand mixer. The whisk attachment is leaving black stuff on my hands and it also has white spots on it. What’s going on? I am not the only one with this issue. The description doesn’t say it can’t be washed in the dishwasher. I have many KA products and I am very disappointed in this one. Will KA replace it? The model whisk can’t be found in stores.
