I love this blender! I\’ve been able to make great smoothies without a bunch of chunks. I\’ve also blended food hot for soups and it worked great! The functional settings are very useful. I love the soft start feature, it really helps blend everything without having to manually move food around to get into the blades. The power just blew, my last Kitchenaide blender was about four years old. I think it’s about the shelf life on a blender. Sometimes it doesn’t work, but for most of the time it blends my smoothies with frozen banana and ice.
Fix and repair (verified owner) –
The plastic that joins the pitcher to the base won’t hold up long no matter how you use it. I liked about 8 vegetable smoothies. It has good features until it quits. The metal inner gear that the plastic is molded to should be replacable without replacing the entire pitcher. Poor design could be fixed with a better quality coupler at the bottom of the pitcher. A good blender.

After looking at Ninja products and the popular stuff on the market, I realized those personal blenders don’t have much room, and not as much power as I was looking for. Trying to go all organic and blend daily, the KitchenAid is the winner. It is easy to use and can tell you what combination of settings to use in order to create various types of blends. I can make a smoothie out of frozen fruits, raw spinach and ripe bananas. It’s easy to clean and I do it by hand. It takes a little strength to open the base of the blender when you’re ready to pour, but it’s safe and sturdy because of the locking feature. I have been using the blender for about two months. All blenders are relatively loud for those with noise concerns. Don’t bother, I’m not sure why noise level is a consideration when looking into blenders. The orange or ‘tangerine’ blender is true to the color displayed online, and it comes in a variety of colors. If there was ever a need for this product, I would buy it again.

My criteria for a new blender was based on the ability to handle frozen ingredients, since I blew up my last one by making smoothie with frozen fruit. The blender is perfect. I use the Crush Ice speed for 10 seconds followed by Liquefy, and the blender masters this with ease. The container is dishwasher safe and the blade is built in. A smoothie maker!

After 8 years, my older kitchen aid blender died. The lid design of the blender has been improved and it has a bigger carafe. It took me a while to get used to pressing the power button.

I used to own a cheap blender, but it died after 1. 5 years. After looking into investing in a better blender, I ended up choosing this one. I used to think that all the blenders were the same. I looked at the bottom because with my old blender, the mechanism that turned the blades became stripped and I would have plastic on the bottom and a stinky burning smell. The top of the blender is made of plastic and it locks into the bottom. When I was researching the blender, I read that the top was hard to take off. I don’t think it is hard, but you have to apply pressure when rotating the top to take it off, because it locks into place very well. I don’t see this as a negative. I won’t have the stinky shavings with this one. I like to drink smoothies. I use the blender for that. It blended up all the frozen fruit very quickly. It was literally in seconds. I thought my old blender would take a few minutes. The shape of the blender makes it easy to not spill it. Even though my old blender had a spout, this one has a triangularish shape on one side that guarantees no spilling, which is great for anything thick because it doesn’t always come out in a steady stream. It wasn’t always possible for my old blender to make it into the cup because too much would come out at once. I have had it for a month and a half and I am very happy with it. I can put it in the dishwasher. I would have bought a quality blender sooner.
