This review was part of a promotion. When my wife was making cookies for our son’s birthday, she noticed a small chip of plastic in one of the cookies. The plastic piece that was in the mixer was chipping off. It was startling that we found all the pieces. This isn’t an indictment of the brand, just our mixer, because we have a Kitchenaid dishwasher and refrigerator.

The hand mixer was perfect for me because I don’t bake very often. It is very easy to use. The mixer has 5 speed levels. I could mix up muffins and cookies easily. The old hand mixer was clunky and loud. The noise level is much quieter with the Kitchen Aid mixer. It does a great job of mixing. My first experience with a Kitchen Aid product was this one. I will be checking out more Kitchen Aid products.

I like to bake frequently and this hand mixer makes it easy to mix ingredients quickly. It’s easy to get the mix you need with the 5 speeds. Cleaning a breeze is made easier by the metal attachment detaching easily.

I prefer a hand mixer over a big counter stand mixer. The KITCHENAID 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer is a perfect size. I don’t want a big thing in my way if I start taking out all the ingredients to bake and cook. The KitchenAID 5-Speed Ultra Power Hand Mixer is close to my bowl and doesn’t take up a lot of my prep space. I like how light it is. I don’t have to worry about the mixer feeling heavy in my hands. That is an important feature of my arthritis. It’s a great feature, it’s not loud. It’s easy to remove the whisks from the mixer. It’s easy to clean up, the whisks go in my dishwasher and I wipe down the mixer with a damp cloth. It’s easy, I love it! Baking cakes and cookies, or making mashed potatoes. It works well.

I’ve been a cook for over 50 years. I have had many electric hand mixers. While resting on its end, the hand mixer leans back too far, which prevents the beaters from leaning back into the bowl. The beater bars on my old hand mixer rusted out, but I loved it. I couldn’t get replacement parts. I hope the Kitchen one has better ones.
