I was excited to use my kitchen aid stand mixer at the cookie party. I attached the flat beater after putting all of the ingredients in the bowl. My hands turned black. I started the mixer because I thought it might be oil from the connection, but it turned out to be the attachment. The batches had to be thrown away. There were a lot of cookies to make. It was disappointing. My attachment makes your hands black.

This review was part of a promotion. I am getting ready to replace my 3rd beater because it cracks and starts peeling off. I expect the beaters to last as long as the mixer, even though I’ve had it for 13 years. I’m getting a burnished one.

The old beater was peeling.

I’ve owned a KitchenAid mixer for 16 years. I needed a beater replacement because I developed a metallic dust coating. The first beater was used to make cookie dough. It wasn’t put in the dishwasher. There were chips and dents in the second beater I received. The third beater came with a chip. The bad reveiws should not have been trusted by me. KitchenAids quality decline is frustrating.

This is the third one I have had to replace. The last chip was the same spot at the tip as the previous ones.

On Black Friday last year, I got my first KA Standmixer. The coated beater is terrible. Over the last year, I’ve used it 10 times and the coating on the beater is already chipping. I don’t put it in the dishwasher because I hand wash it with everything else I use. I know it’s not because it’s on the bottom of the bowl, but it is on the side. KA needs to make options for the beaters.

I was really disappointed in the quality of the product. After 1-2 years, the coating is chipping off. I don’t blame the dishwasher, I always hand wash it. Not recommended!

It was horrible chipping. Please make it with steel. I bought a new one as well. Not good. Who wants paint chips in their cookies?

I ate a chip. I thought it was an egg shell. Thank you, Kitchenaid. What thoughts do you have on the long-term impact of that? Why is this not black?

I love to bake and this beater is essential to that process, just like for everyone who loves their mixer. I’m having an issue with the coating of the beater and I’m hoping to get a new one. It makes me sad because I’ve been baking more since the outbreak and I just noticed the chipping. I’m hesitant to buy a new one if I’m going to have the same problem in the future. I was going to bake a cake for my daughter’s birthday. She has a compromised immune system so ordering a cake is too risky. I’m not sure what to do. Has anyone been able to work around the chipping problem by chance? TIA!

The aluminum gets exposed if you wash this in the dishwasher. If you use aluminum with acidic food it will cause a chemical reaction that will make your food grey. I wouldn’t put this in the dishwasher, but it would be better to have a steel option.

I have a mixer for 20 years and the first paddle chipped a year ago, so I ordered another one and it has 888-405-7720 888-405-7720. I received a video on how to adjust my mixer, but it is tilted and my mixer does not tilt. I’m waiting for someone to answer the phone for the second time today. It’s still cheaper to order a new paddle than it is to order another one. I love the machine and how it works, but the coating needs to be stronger or it won’t work.

I bought a stand mixer for myself and I’ve used it 4 times so far and it’s chipping. Considering how much money these things are, it’s disappointing.

After ordering a replacement paddle for my old mixer, I got off the phone. He asked when I purchased my mixer after getting the model and serial numbers. I told him I have no idea because it is so old. He looked at it. I bought the mixer in 1989. The original accessories are almost 31 years old. I used it for many things, from holiday gifts to 7 years of youth camp. I washed my accessories by hand. My daughter lived with us for 4 months and she would always put it in the dishwasher. It wasn’t the same after that. The finish looked brittle but it didn’t start chipping right away. It held up for a while before starting to chip in the last year. I have stopped using it. I don’t have a problem with my mixer or accessories. It is a great appliance. It takes forever to get to a live person with Kitchen Aid. I had to hang up after 30 minutes when I tried to order a replacement paddle because I didn’t have time to wait. I had to wait over 45 minutes for Christmas. The wait was made worse by the music. I called the virtual assistant after being on the phone for over 30 minutes. A. I’m still waiting for someone to answer my phone call. The V. A. I was asked if I could wait 16 to 30 minutes to be connected with a live person on the phone. The original phone call was answered before I received the call. A. Both the virtual and live assistants were wonderful to work with.
