I have processed less than 20 pounds of tomatoes and 12 pounds of apples and the strainer has broken – it separated along the seam. I also had the same issue as many in that i did not realize that you had to buy so many separate parts to get this system to work

You will only be getting half of what you need if you look at every picture shown here. I already have half a season’s worth of fruit on the stove. I’m beyond upset. I bought from here because my wife didn’t like the cheese grater I bought. I will not make this mistake again.

I realized something was missing when I tried to put it together. You have to buy a different part. There wasn’t an indication of this at checkout. This site does not alert you to the fact that it does not come with the tray and main housing attachment as shown in the picture. I would have ordered the whole part if I had known that I would never have ordered this item. Very disappointed. I’m wondering if it will fit and how much it will cost. It was very disappointing.

When I bought this product, I was annoyed that it didn’t come with the main housing attachment and that this site didn’t alert me to that fact. I thought everything was fine after a friend let me borrow her Hopper. There is a subtle note on the back of the item that says it is not compatible with another hopper they sell.

The cost of the new grinder was worth the time it took me to get the strainer because it saved me. It’s worth every penny if you’ve ever made tomato sauce by hand. My son has an old grinder.
