I unboxed the Gourmet Pasta Press as soon as it arrived at my doorsteps. Everything you need to make homemade pasta is included in this set. Set up is extremely easy and the pasta press is ready to use in no time. It took me longer to decide which type of pasta to make first than it took me to set up the press….
The included instructions are very detailed and extremely helpful especially if it\’s your first kitchen aid mixer attachment or your first time using the press. The auger moves the dough from top to bottom and I only needed to use the dough pusher once or twice in the beginning to get the dough started. The cutter cuts the dough perfectly each time. Once I got the hang of how to use the press, I started counting in my head and cut the pasta every few seconds instead of looking at it and trying to figure out the “right” length.
I used the small macaroni plate to make my first patch of pasta and used the included recipe to make the dough. It came out perfect and everyone loved it!
Clean up is a little time consuming but the taste of homemade pasta is well worth it! I highly recommend making a large batch of pasta each time. The cleaning tool is useful especially when it comes to cleaning the discs, so make sure you\’ll never loose it! Gourmet Pasta Press is a must have for any home cook or pasta lover!

I bought this a year ago and we have had so much fun creating our own pasta! From a special fresh spaghetti dinner on NewYears to gluten free Rigatoni for our Gluten free friends- it is easy to make- only takes a few ingredients and we are eating fresh, perfectly cooked pasta! Friday nights is pasta night at our house. Planning on gluten free fusilli tonight!
You will love your pasta attachments! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

It’s a great addition to my mixer. Jet had the best price. Made with ease.

I made homemade pasta for the first time and it was fun. My daughter’s family loved the pasta she made. It was very easy to use.

It was very easy to use the first time. It will come out perfect if you follow the directions.

The first day I got the attachment, I made 3 kinds of pasta. It worked out great. After making spaghetti, I found out what happens if the blade is not properly seated. The blade broke on the first turn. Great noodles were even broken by it. I apparently did not line up the notch before messing with the cover. I really like the attachment.

I use the Gourmet Pasta Press to make fresh pasta about once a week. I used the recipe in the operator’s manual after doing a lot of research for the best rigatoni doughs. Each time I use it, I want to try a new shape. Brand kitchen needs are highly recommended by homemade yammy things.

Works well. I like to make delicious pasta. One of the dies broke. It was a little disappointing.

If you are making a tube-shaped pasta, you are likely getting one good noodle per cut. The wire seals one end of the tube. The closest noodle to the wire is the one that is open on both ends. I tried to add flour to the recipe but it didn’t work out. I can’t find a trouble shoot because I’m not the only person with this issue. Is there a problem with this issue?

The pasta press was a total waste of money. I have made pasta before. The pasta did not lose its shape. The rigatoni was very thick. It was even thicker when it was cooked. It came with a very high price. I had fun with my grandsons. Don’t bother with this product.

I read many reviews before buying the pasta press, some of which left me unsure as to whether it was a good idea. After using it, I’m very pleased with my purchase, I took the plunge and am happy to report that. The pasta dough comes through the dies in all the different shapes thanks to the press. I had a moment when I couldn’t cut the pasta fast enough, but I got better the longer I used it. Before I tried the press for the first time, I read many different pasta recipes. All purpose flour is the basic recipe that comes with the press. I found online a mixture of all purpose and semolina flour. I have an expert consultant. My father worked for 50 years as a flour milling engineer. The result was perfect after I consulted with him. You can achieve acceptable results with only all purpose flour, but using a mixture with semolina flour will give you a “sturdier” dough more suited to pasta.

The first time I used the pasta ring, it broke. The plastic parts for this extruder are not strong enough to be used with an extruder where heat and pressure work the pasta dough through the dies to form pasta noodles. The components should be made of metal. They don’t know what I’m talking about and Kitchenaid in the US can’t help because I’m not in the US.

I tried my new pasta attachment for the first time this morning and I am thrilled! I was a bit worried after reading some of the negative comments, but I loved it and was much easier to use than I thought. I can’t wait to use the delicious rotini again. It takes a bit of time to clean since I have tried many different shapes. You have to go with the feel of the dough if you want to stick to the recipe.

We love making our own organic food. I think it’s more affordable than the pasta roller/cutter. It is very easy to put on and clean. This is a big help in the kitchen.

I’ve been working hard to cook the most fresh, whole food I can, using foods with a minimum of Preservatives. I was thrilled when the attachment for my mixer arrived, I have recently begun making my own pasta sauce. I was looking for a whole wheat recipe in order to be more healthy and had never made my own pasta. The pasta was too dense to be enjoyable because of the texture of the dough. I tried the recipe in the pasta press handbook. It’s easy to make fresh pasta with fresh, whole ingredients. It’s important to follow the instructions in the handbook. The attachment is easy to use. No more store bought pasta for me.

You can tell this was built in Italy. The clean-up was easy, just follow the instructions regarding which parts can be submerged in water.

My husband and I received this as a wedding present because we wanted to be able to recreate some of our favorite dishes from restaurants where fresh pasta was used. The attachment was easy to use and we still have some work to do. It was a bonus that we didn’t have to roll out pasta dough. It can be a bit tedious to clean, but it was worth it for us.

I made pasta for the first time. The pictures show the results, but don’t explain how easy it was to use. Drop in dough balls and it comes out perfect. I almost ran out of room because it made so much from 2 c of flour. Excellent purchase. Tak.

I got the Kitchenaid pasta rollers for Christmas last year, which has been great, but I use pasta like macaroni in my cooking often, so I saved up to add this to my kitchen arsenal. I have only been able to use it once so far, and I didn’t have enough semolina flour to match the pasta recipe, but regardless the whole process was a lot quicker than with the rollers, and plenty of macaroni from one batches for multiple recipes. The rough texture on the macaroni did a great job of keeping sauce on it, unlike the smooth pastas sold commercially. I’m hoping that the dough didn’t have enough semolina flour because it was messy.

This Christmas I received it. It broke after 3 uses. The customer service department was very helpful in relaxing the damaged item. I’m very happy with this. I hope this new piece doesn’t break after 5 months.

You are using too much water if your pasta is “glopping/sticking” after extruding. Play with your recipe. The disk are a “real PITA” to clean. Don’t let them sit in boiling water. I nuke a coffee cup. Don’t add disks after you nuke. I think they might separate. My food does.

I used to use the horizontal pasta extruder. I had to cut each noodle individually so that it wouldn’t stick to the noodle below it. It takes just minutes with this pasta press. If you want the noodles to fall away from each other, just flick the cutting blade across the noodles. The change to the design made it much quicker to use. If you’re in a hurry, you can choose the largest die for the rigatoni and skip the hour of dough sitting in the refrigerator. Don’t skip this step for any of the other deaths. It takes about 10 minutes to finish extruding a single recipe since the rigatoni die is larger. It takes a long time to bring the water to a boil.

I got the Pasta Press for Christmas and have used it twice. The press doesn’t take long to use and is very easy to use. The taste is great.
