I love the sifter. It is a very useful tool to make baking a breeze.

This review was part of a promotion. It is Measures exactly and sifts it to perfect. Baking is very important.

I don’t use the attachment enough to justify the cost. Before buying, make sure you are an avid baker. I don’t use biscuits except for large items like cakes.

I just live. This works great because I bake a lot of cookies. The sifter doesn’t work if cookies have 3 cups of flour. At least for me. Smaller quantities work well. Great product.

At Christmas, I make old fashioned sugar cookies. For generations, I have used my grandmother’s recipe. It requires that cookies be stiff enough to roll and cut. I used my Kitchen aid mixer to mix the dough instead of having to stir it myself. Great investment and attachment.

My baked goods come out perfect once I get used to weighing ingredients. There is no need for an extra bowl for sifting dry ingredients. It is easy to clean.

The sifter caught my attention when I read all the reviews. I thought this product would be perfect for me since I have developed gout. I was losing interest in baking as I had an old fashion sifter that was hard to squeeze. The sifter is what I needed. Thank you.

My husband bought this for me. I used it yesterday. It’s a great job. I have a disease. Very helpful. I think it’s a good idea for baking lovers.

Is it necessary? No. It’s very useful for small, precise baking activities. My counter scale is reliable and tracks the scale out of the box. There are a few parts that are easy to assemble. When it’s time to clean it can be a chore because it stays clean with all dry ingredients. It can get messy for larger recipes, but I will use it for small bakes.

I wanted it as soon as I heard about it. The model I have is the Professional HD 6000. The model has a narrow bowl lift. The attachment works well with that model. The configuration of my model has a small gap between the planetary head and the bowl rim that makes it difficult to add dry ingredients. I do a lot of baking, mostly breads and cakes, so this was frustrating, but this is the best model for the heavy bread doughs I work with, so I dealt with it. WOW, since getting this attachment. Every bit of flour easily goes into the center of the bowl, so it’s consistently mixed with wet ingredients and doesn’t float out in a big cloud. I’m not over mixing doughs and batters because it’s taking too long to add in all the flour because it’s a faster and more consistent method. My breads and cakes have a better texture. Even for delicate macarons, this does the job. I found the entire unit easy to operate, clean and assemble/dissemble, and the scale was accurate when compared to my stand alone scales. It’s easier to remove excess weights when the ingREDIENT VALVE is closed. Give a quick stir and open the valve. If you want the shute to hit your bowl in the right spot, adjust the shute by using the black tab on the side of the metal shute. If you must do multiple recipes in a short period of time, you should clean the unit with a spatula or spoon handle, then brush out each part with a clean, dry paint or basting brush. Attach the attachment when washing. The scale section can be wiped with a damp cloth, while the other pieces should be lightly tapped over the sink to remove any hidden ingredients. If you don’t wash them first, they may cake or form clumps that will stick to the unit when dry. All pieces need to be completely dry before they can be used. Attach only the sifter/shute sections to the mixer. Attach the scale to the sifter unit, then stop the mixer, open the ingredient valve, and use the Hopper and scale on the counter to weigh your ingredients. Why? Unless you have one of the smaller models, or your mixer is on a table or shelf lower than a typical kitchen counter, it will be difficult for you to use this attachment for weighing ingredients while attached to the mixer. The mixer I use is 16. The person is 5 feet tall. The opening rises 6 when attached. The scale is above the top of the mixer. For me, that means the opening is between my counter and the floor. That is higher than the wall cabinet’s bottom shelf. I’m 5’9″, so it’s perfect for me, and brings the scale readout closer to my middle-aged eyes, which is great. A shorter person might find it difficult to view the scale at that height, and could find it difficult not to add ingredients, thus affecting the scale accuracy. King Arthur Flour has a great list of ways to convert volume measurements to weights for many different types of flour and other ingredients, as well as tips for adjusting dry ingredient weights to account for changes in humidity. There are a lot of great recipes.

Since some KitchenAid mixers can get pretty expensive, if you are a KitchenAid fan like me, you are always trying to find another way to use your appliances. I was very impressed when I found this scale mixer attachment. The scale is easy to remove so you can weigh your ingredients in the middle of your baking process. It is the only way to be completely accurate when measuring ingredients and the only way to be exact when repeating recipes. My mom doesn’t like baking because she doesn’t like repeating her process with exact results. I think she would love this product and it would make her like baking, because she loves to use tools like this while cooking. I want to buy one for my mom after seeing this attachment in action. This review is part of a contest.

This is a great idea. It is easy to attach and add to the mixer bowl. The scale is a nice bonus. This scale can also be used separately.

This is a dream come true for a baker. It’s amazing that I can sift hands free. I think it helps incorporate it better. The first thing I made using this was yeast rolls, and the flour being weighed, sifted, and slowly pouring into the batter was great. The scale could be used separately on the countertop. I would recommend this attachment to anyone that bakes.

I have a sifter and scale attachment and it’s convenient because my hands get tired easily. It became easy to sift. It’s easy to do once you put the ingredients in it. The scale is my friend for weighing ingredients that don’t need to be sifted. This attachment is very useful and I highly recommend it.

I went to you tube the other day to check out what’s new for my kitchen aid mixer and saw the sifter and scale attachment and ordered it and read. The reviews said it was a lot of dust, but I still wanted to try it, and it is so easy to attach and use. The lemon coconut cake was delicious.

I absolutely adore this attachment. I always use my KitchenAid when I mix cookie dough. Adding flour is the only problem I have. It can be messy. I used a towel to wrap the top so the flour wouldn’t go everywhere. A gift from heaven is the sifter. No more mess.

I bought this a few weeks ago and it didn’t come close to being depth adjusted. It failed the dime test. The tilt lock started to slip when I adjusted it properly. There was no win between the two objectives because of the common adjustment. It is a machine that is well thought out. I was quite disappointed to find that the machine really struggled for my main uses. It’s not possible to do larger batches of this type of mixing. Even though I didn’t want the awkwardness of a lift mixer, I will have to sell this one and get something more powerful. I don’t recommend this machine for pasta dough.

The sifter is great. I would avoid sifting my ingredients. I have no excuse to not sift. You can use the digital scale on it’s own or with the sifter, it’s great. I want KitchenAid to come out with another fine mesh sifter that you can interchange with the one that is included. The sifter included does a good job for basic flours, but I prefer a very fine sifter to get all those bits out. If they came out with a fine mesh piece, they would 100% buy it.

KitchenAid has the best products. MySaveMall got the item here a day earlier. It was smooth and easy.

I like the Sifter & Scale attachment. It makes it much easier to add your dry ingredients. It is easy to clean.

I love this KitchenAid Sifter. I used to have to remove the bowl to add ingredients. It’s important to prevent a snowstorm. This attachment is a game-changer. The directions were easy to follow and I had no problems hooking it up. I don’t know how I would survive without it. Another great product from KitchenAid.

I have made many batches of buttercream icing and always hated having to add the powder sugar a little at a time and make a mess. It makes my life easier with the sifter and scale attachment.
