We took a chance on the Krups because our Bodum grinder was on the way out. The Krups is the best grinder I’ve owned. The Bodum has less capacity to hold enough beans to make a full pot. The coffee pot or French press is about 80 percent quieter. This is a better grinder. It was 100 percent recommended.

Coffee is stuck at the bottom. To empty the grounds, I have to stir them up with a butter knife. I don’t like this grinder. It spills out when I open it and makes a mess on the counter because grounds go up into the lid. Past the return window.

I paid a lower price for this grinder after buying it from the Sam’s auction site. The dial is coarse or fine for the type of coffee maker you’re using and the number of cups you need is displayed on the dial. The measure needed for the number of cups is what stops it. I didn’t give it a five star because it’s a lot of plastic and I don’t know how long it will last.

The design of the grinder and the appearance of it made me like it. I liked the fact that the grinder has a bigger capacity than the one I had before, as well as the cup that holds the coffee. The cord storage mechanism was more difficult to use than the one on my previous grinder. I could wrap the old one around easily because there was a grove around the outside perimeter. I don’t use it because I have to tuck the cord in under the grinder. It is well made but at the same time I could have replaced it for less than half the price and it would have been a better choice.
