Listen, I fricken love this blender. AND I am someone who once had a Vitamix, but after the second time it burnt out on me, I went for Ninja and have never looked back. I blend soups, smoothies and margaritas in this puppy multiple times a week and she\’s reliable which we love.

I’ve only used it a few times, but I’m very happy with how powerful it is. I’ve used the standard container and cups. It was easy to lightly beat a couple of eggs with a cup. This is a machine that is very loud. I’m trying to find a way to reduce the noise. You can’t blend anything with the lid off. I’m pretty sure that’s a safety feature. I’m very happy with it.

I have an older style Ninja blender and it still works, but the motor has been making a weird noise recently. Not wanting to be without a way to make my ZipFizz “slushes”, I saw this Ninja 1100 watt at a great price during a recent 1-day sale and snapped it up. It does a great job of grinding ice cubes into snow in a few seconds, which is better than my old one. This is the best blender I have ever used.

We bought this set for ourselves as a Christmas gift because we wanted to make chopped ice type beverages. The larger container with its fearsome blades and powerful base easily chops ice into puree. The base unit has cups on it that will keep it in place on the countertop. The smaller chopper with its matching containers is more like a traditional blender and requires a little more technique to get all the ice to be chopped into puree. We paid $90 for it online and got it delivered free. The unit is awesome for the price, even if it is over $100 now. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
