The counter space was taken up by an old food processor, a blender and a bullet. I needed to leave them out for me to use them, but they were running out of space. All of them can be replaced with a small profile with this powerful tool. It has a dishwasher safe jar for 8 cups, as well as a food processor with a 5 cup attachment. This is different for salsas and other thicker chopped foods because you can choose how smooth or thick you want it to be. You can adjust it manually, even though it has pre-programmed settings. It is more versatile than my other tools. My only complaint is it doesn\’t come with a single smoothie cup like some of the other Oster blenders, as sometimes I\’d like to just make and drink a single smoothie in one cup.

I have been using the blender for a few weeks and I am in love with it. I can choose the texture I want from salsa to smoothie. It is easy to operate and gets the job done quickly. I have made smoothie for my 3 year old austic son in the past and he would never drink them, but I think he likes the texture of the smoothie button because he can’t seem to get enough now.

I purchased this a few months ago. It works well. The blade part doesn’t rust after we wash it. We didn’t notice until we saw a rusty spot where we put the blade.

I have been using the blender for about a month now and have found it to be on my kitchen counter every few days. I am making lots of sauces and bringing in fresh veggies from my garden. I use the “salsa” setting most of the time. It’s not loud and it gives me the texture I’m looking for. I would feel better if the top locked onto the base, as the quality of the materials used are pretty sturdy. I can add more to the machine with the twist cap on top. I like the thickness of the rubber on the lid. The machine looks good and performs as it should. I want the extra security, but I can’t find any fault.

It’s the best blender I have ever owned. The black brushed metal looks great. The base of it doesn’t have a million buttons on it, just a knob and a few small buttons, but there are plenty of options. The entire pitcher assembly is dishwasher safe, and the blade can go in the dishwasher with the pitcher and lid. The pitcher is made of plastic. It’s very easy to use, and the settings work well. I used it for the first time for a dessert, and it was easy to understand how it works. It made a thick drink. I used it to make black bean patties, which I just dumped a can of black beans and a can of Southwestern style black bean mix into. It came out perfect because I wanted it to be on the large side. This was done using the pulse/thick setting. The beans were mushed up very well, which was exactly what I wanted. I can’t think of a single thing I would do to change it. I look forward to using it in the future.

I just got this and I feel like the homemade salsa I made with it was just not challenging enough for this blender. I made a puree of a whole onion, a jar of jalapenos, and a hold head of garlic. When it was perfect, it shut off. It is sturdy and well made and has all the functions I will ever need. I’m going to make a smoothie tonight and have no doubt it will work.

The Oster Texture Select is the best I’ve ever used. It has a 5 cup food processor and preprogrammed settings. When I used it for the first time, I was amazed that it could crush ice. It has a smoothie, chop, and a food mode. There is a thin, med, and thick texture mode. It’s very easy to use and is the fastest way to make anything you want.
