I started using my presto fryer as soon as it arrived. I have an air fryer but let\’s be honest some thing don\’t taste the same unless they\’re deep fried!! It is 100% mess free there was no oil spots anywhere whir the cover. This fryer is everything I wanted and more, it has a nice esthetic look that\’s compliments the rest of the appliances in my kitchen. It is so easy to use and I can get two things at one or just more of the same item, I have three boys and this has came in so handy, I also love using the steam feature for my veggies!! They cone out perfect every single time!! Not only does it dry and steam you can also use it to make a boil!

The ProFry is wonderful. After reading the instructions and looking at the box, I was able to put it together. Before using this fryer, you need to read all the instructions. You can fry two foods at the same time with the dual basket. The 1800 watt immersion provides quick preheating. There is a page in the book that tells you how long to cook your food. I was nervous about using it for the first time, but I cooked chicken and french fries in the dual basket. If you want it fried, keep the top off. It took me less than 12 minutes. Chicken and french fries were not greasy. I put the chicken and french fries on the fryer rim and let the oil drain from them. The fryer uses a lot of cooking oil. There is a minimum and maximum level where your oil needs to be. To reach the minimum level, I had to use 120 fluid ounces of oil. I can’t wait to use my fryer again because my food was delicious. Couldn’t wait to try this out on some catfish and hushpuppies, but the first one was greasy, a sure sign that the grease wasn’t hot enough. I used the fryer all the way up to cook smaller batches and everything was fine. I wish it heated to 400 as it was the highest setting. You need constant hot oil to cook fish and I didn’t have a Thermometer to check the settings to make sure it was accurate. I would like the heat control knob to be easier to read with a white mark. The large basket for cooking fried chicken is optional, but the ones included are good for smaller items like fries, tater tots, corndogs. I wouldn’t overload the baskets as it would make the food greasy. We’ve only used it once so far and it was given to us to try out for our review so that’s my honest opinion on our first deep fryer.
