The rings give off a bad smell. My old ones never had this problem. The replacements put a bitter taste into the food, which shows that they have chemicals in it. I tried soaking in baking soda, dishwashing liquid, and lemon juice in order to get rid of the stinky chemicals. Nothing worked. The nasty taste is still in the food despite the reduction of the chemical smell. I had to use the other ring I had left. Do not buy them. They should start making them from food grade silicone or another source. These are terrible.
