It does the job at a great price. It requires a minimum because it has an exposed heating element. It takes 75L of water to boil, so it takes a lot of time and energy to get a cup of coffee or tea.

I prefer this kettle over my old kettle. It’s convenient to boil 1. 7 liters at a time and turning off automatically when done. There is a white powdery substance left by the water, just like in my old metal kettle. It’s hard to clean the wire burner inside the kettle. The user manual says to boil some lemon water. I would transfer the water to a glass pitcher to reduce the amount of water that settles in the kettle.

I bought the Rival Kettle for my mother. It takes about five minutes to boil a quart of water. She uses it for coffee and tea. It’s good for Instant Cocoa and Soups because the base allows a user to pour hot water from the pitcher part without any dangling cords. Run the kettle at least two times before you drink the hot water.
