An A-MAIZE-ING way to make popcorn! The Tasty microwave popcorn popper makes delicious, healthy popcorn in the microwave without the added chemicals that often come in microwave popcorn bags. The borosilicate glass bowl makes popping kernels in the microwave safe, and is also dishwasher safe. To use, fill the lid with fresh popcorn kernels to the fill line for a half bowl of popcorn. Fill it twice if you have a friend who “didn’t want any” when you started and then instantly wants some as soon as you sit down. Then, drop those kernels into the bottom of the popper. If you want, you can even add some butter to the perforated lid and place it on top of the popper. Or don’t. We aren’t judging. Keep in mind that not all microwaves work exactly the same, so play with the timing until you get it just right. Try setting the microwave between 2:30-3:00 minutes and listen to the pops. When the popping slows down to about 2 seconds apart, stop the microwave.

I was expecting a green popper, but it was pink. In our opinion, this pops popcorn isn’t very good. We used our popcorn setting. It took 5 minutes on our microwave. We put it back in for 30 seconds, but some popped began to burn. My husband was excited to try the butter option because using a paper bag produces dry, fluffy pieces. It works well to make buttered popcorn. It is a chore to clean, and we have hard water, this is never going to look pretty again! It has a lot of space for storage.

My husband and I get a hankering for popcorn every once in a while, but who wants to buy oil, popcorn kernels, a popper, all to take up space for something you rarely use? This is a convenient item to have. It doesn’t take up much space, you don’t need oil for it, and it makes the perfect amount for 2 people. It didn’t start popping until close to 5 minutes, but it worked quickly. It’s cute and I’m happy with it.

I have owned one of these units in the past. It didn’t work then and it doesn’t work now. Don’t pop the corn in the allotted time because the directions are accurate. You get a burnt mess if you leave it for too long. The best way to pop popcorn is in a covered pan on top of the stove. I wouldn’t recommend this popcorn popper.
