The kettle is a great buy. It’s very light and has a pop up lid. A small amount of water is boiling very quickly. It’s easy to remove the kettle from the base and put it back on. When the base is plastic, the base doesn’t lift up when you lift the kettle off it, which is a problem with other kettles. There are three colors of this kettle: black, white, and red. I put the red on the counter because it adds a pop of color to my kitchen. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this kettle.

Every morning I heat up water for a cup of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal. It was important to me that this kettle provided hot water at least as fast as my current method of microwaving and stove top kettle- heating water in the morning. There was a race between the two methods. The Toastmaster is a few seconds faster than my old method, so that is a win in my book. It’s easy to use, just one switch. It would be great for a hunting lodge where a lot of people would want to use it. I think in a “buy it for life” kettle I would want a built-in Thermometer so that I know when to take the water off.
