Notice the ad does not give the wattage. That means no claim is being made about how fast it will heat.
I have found that a 1-1/2 qt pot of water takes 25 minutes before a few bubbles of boiling water appear at the bottom of the pot. No good for spaghetti cooking! The old spiral electric burners boiled the water in 15 minutes in a covered 1-1/2 qt pot.

This is a good deal. We thought it would be nice to have an extra burner above and beyond our propane camp stove. We haven’t camped there but I did cook some soup and boil water for macaroni and it worked great. I don’t think you could cook a big pot of chili or stew for breakfast, but I bet it will be great. Crap. The burner couldn’t boil water. To try this burner, I wanted to boil one egg. What good is it if it can’t even boil water? It’s a waste of money. Don’t buy this product.

It looks nice, but that’s all. It doesn’t work. It took me more than two hours to cook a pound of ground beef. It takes 1 hour to cook macaroni and cheese. I bought it because I have to take care of my kids and my stove doesn’t work, so I had to buy it. I don’t know why they sell it. Before it starts to boil, my water never bubbled. No bubbles. Nothing. Its crazy. I returned it and tried to use my instant pot for everything. The whole time I was trying to cook with it, it kept turning off. It wasn’t due to being too hot, it was just barely hot enough to cook. It’s garbage. It’s a waste of money. A good brand of electric skillet or griddle is a good buy.

Overall, a good product. The element size should have been included in the description. It is small. I would probably have gone with a larger burner if I’d known that. Unless you do a few batches you can’t boil a pot of water for pasta. You will be happy if you only need a burner for 6 pots and pans.

I followed the instructions. I put water in a 1 quart pot to make mac and cheese. Only half of the pot was filled with water. I waited for it to come to a boil and cook the pasta, but it never boiled. The water is hot enough for steeping tea bags or making instant coffee, but not hot enough to boil pasta or boiled eggs. It’s worthless. The positive reviews for this must be fake. Don’t believe them.
