I saw a unit for $200. When I saw the price for the referb, I jumped at it. The machine was thirty years old. The machine is well constructed and heavy. I made two capuchino beverages after getting the machine home. They were perfect. The cup warming feature works perfectly.

The water pump wouldn’t work to draw water from the holding tank and the machine couldn’t brew a shot of espresso. The refurbished one was a bad idea because we went elsewhere and bought a new one that works great.

The cafe had a machine that was purchased. The heating element failed. I used it twice and it started leaking. I put the tank back in. There is still a leak. Returned to the store.

On July 1, I ordered the espresso maker from Cuisinart and received it on July 3. Excellent shipping speed. The EM200 contained everything that was supposed to be in it. The setup was simple. The unit is like the Titanic. The water runs out so fast that you can’t pour it in. The problem is not the water tank. I left the water on the counter and it didn’t leak. The machine seems to have a problem. Quality control at Cuisinart is not up to par. I haven’t made my first espresso yet. I’m going to call Cuisinart to find out what I’m supposed to do. I can’t recommend the EM200 so far.

Water comes out of the portafiller and steam wand at the same time. The problem wasn’t fixed even though it was supposed to be refurbished. Don’t waste money or time.

I was excited to get this machine because I had high hopes for it. The water tank was broken when I received the machine. The replacement didn’t work right after 24 hours. There was water coming out of the portafilter and steam wand. It wouldn’t work again after several attempts by my husband and I. A lot of people have had the same problem. Take the time and money and go somewhere else.

We like good coffee in this house. They have been using a sting-top polygraph. We have been closed more than once after reading the directions. It was only once that it all worked like it should have. Some were thrown away. We are trying to read the instructions. We will keep it in the next week. The rating will go up if we keep it. The coffee it makes is very hot. I like that a lot. I used the hot water from the machine to quench my thirst. That was a bonus. There is one more week for me.
