My friend recommended this specific mixer because my daughter needed some holiday cookies for school. The mixer is easy to use. We were able to minimize the splatter once we got used to the mixer because mixing softened butter and sugar can get a little messy. I have done several cookie/muffin recipes and the mixer has done a great job mixing and handling the thick batter. Please use a bowl with a stable base and high sides to make sure everything stays in the bowl. Straight forward use and maintenance of the beaters is what it is. My daughter and I like the mixer and we are looking forward to the next recipe.

The lowest speed requires you to wear an apron and stand back. They shot 18 inches across the counter when I released the beaters. The mixer will not fold. It does mix. At high speed. I don’t think I’ll ever go beyond the first setting.

The little mixer is nice. The power cord is out of the way. It is easy to rest a flat base on a counter. The first speed was slow so that dry ingredients wouldn’t fly out. It started making cookies, did a good job of starting bread dough, and the wire beaters stayed clear. The power controls don’t have a button for the beater eject button.

The mixer didn’t have a lower speed setting. I creamed butter for a recipe. The setting was too harsh. Butter was flying out of the bowl. Heavy jobs will definitely be handled by it. It is a sturdy kitchen tool.
