It is wise to watch your cook for the first few attempts. The temperature and cook time recommendations in the recipes need to be adjusted as it is easy to burn/over cook your meal. The deep fryer has a lid that eliminates messy splattering. The first model that was delivered had minor damage and was quickly replaced.
