I use one of these almost every day since I bought it for myself in March 2011. At a decent-sized mug size, you get a good 2 mugs-full of coffee, which is why I like that it is compact and only makes up to 5 cups at a time. My coffee pot is starting to show some wear nearly a year later. The hood that was used to pour the water under/put coffee grinds in has come off. It doesn’t change how my coffee tastes, I’m still using it. The easy to use function of setting the pot at night coincides with my wake up time and I love it. My brother and I gave my mom a pot because I had good luck with it. The year 2011. The coffee basin is easy to clean. Paper filters are over! We have a base model coffee maker in the house. I would pick the GE 5-cup coffee maker. The one with the coffee was about 4 times more expensive. The coffee basin is easy to clean. After I dump the used grounds out, I rinse them with the sprayer on the sink, and they are ready for another pot of coffee. It always tastes good. I usually use 5 cups of water and 1/3 cup of coffee per pot.

I liked the small size of the coffee maker. I tried to run a pot of water through the coffee maker to clean it out. The water dumped from the bottom of the unit completely ruined my counter top, everything on it, and the floor. I put the unit in a box and returned it. I replaced it with the same unit. On the first day, I realized how bright the time display was. It was almost impossible to pour coffee from the carafe without coffee dribbling over the sides. Poor design. If you attempt to open the lid and make another pot of coffee, the condensation on the lid will pour down the back of the coffeemaker. I tried to buy back-up chlorine filters since I think they make a difference in the taste. Couldn’t find the carbon filters. I woke up to a dead coffeemaker six weeks after purchase, but I’m not sure if it was the design or the constant showering from the lid. I don’t like my morning coffee. I can only assume the whole thing was fried because the clock wasn’t even working. Mr. had been my previous coffeepot. Coffee had been around for a while. I purchased the 5 cup Mr. I am glad I did because I was able to get the coffee and filters in the store. I will never use my money or time on GE again.

I love my coffee maker. It makes 5 cups of coffee which is helpful for people who only drink a few cups of coffee. It keeps the coffee warm for an hour so that it doesn’t get too warm. The Basket for the coffee grounds is the best feature. No more coffee filters! A great product!

Why doesn’t My SaveMall, GE, or anyone else? You can make the water filters available online. About a month ago, I bought the coffee maker online. It’s working well, but only one water filter came with it. There are additional filters in MySaveMall stores. It would cost about $50 for a taxi to take me to that store. Someone should make it possible to get them online. I wouldn’t recommend this coffee maker to anyone who doesn’t live near a store.

I returned the product to the store because I found out from the instruction manual that it couldn’t be cleaned using the same method as other coffee makers, and I had to spend over two dollars a month for each small water filter. It costs more in the long run than the initial $19. You pay at the store.

I bought this coffee pot for my mom for Mother’s Day in 2011, but I have not seen it myself. She sounds very happy! I’ve always trusted the brand name of this product and it was very reasonbly priced for me. Thanks!

Those with small counter tops have a nice small coffee maker. It makes a nice cup of coffee. I get two mugs that are perfect for me because I use a mug.

I wouldn’t recommend this product for a long-term relationship. All was well for the first couple of weeks. Coffee and fresh beans are my favorites. It isn’t always easy to get a satisfying brew with less expensive models. The top of the unit wouldn’t stay shut after a few months. I learned to live with the problem even though I couldn’t fix it. I was washing the top of the carafe when it broke. I have no idea why this would happen, I treated it gently and always cleaned it manually. There was nothing to suggest possible damage. I stayed in there. Maybe I should be called cheap or stubborn. While I was looking for a new carafe, I continued to use it. You can’t get a five-cup carafe to fit this. I had to retire my coffee maker because of another piece of the carafe chipping off. I should have returned it after the first incident, but I loved that brew. It’s attractive, the space-saving dimensions make it a neat fit, and it shuts off automatically. In this case, beauty does not confer reliability.
