The Hamilton Beach BrewStation 12 Cup Coffee Maker exceeded my expectations. It provides a great cup of coffee in a short time. The design of the product is unique, in that it comes in 3 pieces. The coffee tank and filter basket can be cleaned easily. The cupcake-paper style coffee filters are required. The design is small and works well in my kitchen. The instructions were easy to follow. I made a tank of “hot water” to see how the BrewStation worked after washing all the pieces. It was very quiet and quick. The coffee bar accommodates any size coffee mug. I followed the instructions and pressed the on button. The coffee was ready to be put into my mug. I just went with the default brew strength. The brew strength button can be used to make stronger coffee. I pressed the mug against the bar. A cup of coffee. It was very easy to program the brewstation. You can set the number of hours to keep the coffee warm, the strength of the coffee you want to brew, and when the coffee should start to brew. You can wake up and brew coffee. There is an option to make iced coffee. The directions are easy to follow. You can quickly see how much coffee is in the brew tank with the Coffee Level Guide on the side. The blue mug shown in the pictures was filled from the 3-cup line, but I still have 1/3 of the brew tank left. I was able to fill both the tall mug and blue mug when I filled the 6 cups. These are large mugs. I washed out the coffee tank after the first couple uses. A ready supply of hot water can be used to make a packet of hot soup or a packet of hot chocolate. The Brewstation has an unexpected side benefit. You have to be careful with the water. Do not try to pour too quickly. I found a pitcher that was easy to fill up. The water is marked with volume indicators so you know how much coffee you will make. The electrical cord is located on the BrewStation. The coffee tank needs to be settled on the water base. Check the sides of the coffee maker to make sure the coffee tank is in place. My old-style coffee maker and pot have been replaced by this appliance. Each time I use this unit, it makes me smile. I use the coffee maker to keep me well hydrated.
