I only gave it one star. The sandwich wouldn’t fit on the hinge side. The front of the unit would be damaged by the panini. Poor design. I returned it. I wouldn’t recommend buying it.

We made ham and cheese on an Italian loaf using it for the first time. Fantastic! We ate Rubens, baby Swiss, and sauerkraut on Marble bread the next night. It’s even better than fantastic. We made more Rubens and they were even better. We are thinking of new sandwiches. It only takes a few minutes and they are done. We are very happy with it. I might buy them for all my children.

The grill is nice, but there are no heating settings so every sandwich has to be the same. It is difficult to clean if you use cooking spray.

Who ships in the original brand box? The item came without a shipping box, just a label. It’s so weird. It looked like it was already used when I opened the box. There was a white film on the grate. It took 3 weeks to arrive. Going to return it.

Really easy! As a novice, I started on grilled cheese. Italian rolls had ham,Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and horseradish sauce. All came out great. The Panini Maker is very hot. Less than three minutes. The cheese was grilled for three minutes. The ham and cheese was very thick. It took nine minutes. Pull the plug if the cheese is starting to melt on the grill. It’s easy to clean up with a moist wash cloth. Don’t use butter on the outside of the bread/roll if the recipe calls for it. The teflon on the grills does not stick. A plastic spatula is used to get the Panini out. Extra virgin olive oil can be found inside the bread/roll. Also small for storage. You won’t regret it if you buy one. It makes two Panini’s at a time for two people. The price is correct. P. S. I made my son a sandwich with a sliced steak, romaine lettuce, heirloom tomato, and extra virgin olive oil. Three minutes to cook. He will microwave it and let me know how it goes.
