I use this kettle daily. I use the tea settings more than I expected because it’s quicker than stove top warming. The tea has more flavor and strength. I assumed this appliance wasn’t necessary, but it’s definitely improved my tea making game.

This kettle is for the person who wants the exact temperature for his/her green tea, white tea, black tea, french press coffee, and hot cocoa. It is not a good idea for someone to flip a switch and get boiling water. It needs to be programmed. One can program a start time by putting in the current time. One can program it for the beverages or for a different temperature. It’s a great addition to a kitchen countertop because of it’s design. The instructions warn that with time there could be discoloration due to the heating aspect. I put a picture of it in the box with a label that says all the things it can be used for. One should remove the label before using. A picture shows that the cord can be removed from the base. If one doesn’t have a lot of counter space, this should be taken into account because the base takes up more room than the other kettles. One needs to set the Keep Warm time before starting the heating up of the water. It’s not easy to read the water level window on the side where the handle for the kettle is, but I think it’s the right place for it. There is a button at the top of the handle. The lid to the kettle can be opened simply by pressing it. There is a push pad on top of the kettle. The anti-scale mesh filter is inside the spout. According to the instructions, it is supposed to prevent the particles caused by lime and calcium in hard water from being poured out of the kettle. I haven’t needed to do this since I haven’t had the kettle long, so I’m not sure how long it will take or how difficult it will be. If you feel the need for all of these items, this is the kettle for you. It has everything you could want in a kettle. I prefer the Hamilton Beach glass kettle that has the markings for the water level in white on the front of the glass and only requires me to flip a switch for boiling water.

I bought the Pro kettle to use in my ice cream shop. I like the size because I can heat 7 cups of water and keep it warm in between customers. I like that I can regulate the temperature for different products. The filter is a plus when it comes to the water system. I didn’t give 5 stars because the read out was hard to read.
