The blender is not good. I used it when I got home after buying it. I put yogurt, milk, honey and soft chopped up fruit. The smoothie had more fruit than my old one. Not impressed with this. It is loud and heavy.

There are a lot of good things about this blender. It is a wonderful appliance. What a difference, I have another Hamilton Beach blender that is a step or two down from this one. The few extra dollars it will cost is definitely worth it. The package was very nice. I was surprised at how thick the glass was. It had a black plastic item. The plastic lid can mold over the top of the carafe. One of the openings acts as a pour spout, the other accommodates the plunger and allows you to add ingredients while you blend. The machine can be fully inserted with the help of the plunger. It’s a joy to use. It pulls material into the blades to create a circular blend. The other blenders I’ve used tend to push the material up into the carafe and then create a space between the blades and the food. This doesn’t happen unless it gets incredibly thick, but it can be solved with the help of a plunger. It’s amazing. You get an incredibly creamy result with the continuous blend. The smoothies I made with mine came out better than I have ever had before. The blender chews through ice. It’s also quiet. I let my smoothie blend for a while and it came out with a nice texture. It was delicious! I won’t use my other one again. I realized how food should come out when it’s in a blender. The item is very durable. blades have a cleaning mode The only issue I have with the whole thing is that the lid is hard to get off. My husband had to take it off because of my weak wrists. The lid material is soft and bendy so it wraps around the top of the carafe. It’s a wonderful product and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to make a smoothie or crush ice.
