I have only used my mixer a handful of times and the paint has already chipped off the coated beater. I now can no longer use it as I don’t want paint in my food! Of course it’s not under warranty and it makes me upset I have to go and spend more money on a product that is already costly and should last after gentle hand washing!

The coated flat beater has been in my possession for almost a decade. I separated it from my 6 quart. The burnished mixer came with it. I like using the coated beater. It goes in the dishwasher when I use it at least once a week. It looks brand new after almost 10 years. Not a single chip.

I received a KitchenAid – 5 Qt Professional 5 Plus mixer as a Christmas present. The flat beater was damaged when I opened the box. It doesn’t seem like it has ever been used. It is difficult to put the bowl in place.

The stand mixer is great. I use it to bake my cakes, but it started chipping at the bottom and I noticed it had a gray color from the metal. I have been unable to bake since I threw the batter away. I want a replacement paddle that doesn’t chip.

I got online a little while ago to write a negative review of the paddles I bought a year ago. I started reading reviews and reading about adjusting the height and it hit me that was the problem. I started looking for a way to change the height. The neck is where paddle removal takes place. Play with it to get the height you want. The height is correct when the paddle is not hitting the bowl. Thanks to everyone for writing reviews, they really help. The paddles are great.

I thought the coating on my beater was from dishwasher use. The replacement blade I washed after finishing a bunch of cookies had chips. I threw the cookie batter. They have worse reviews than I was going to switch to. I won’t stop using this mixer because it was very expensive when purchased. I plan on replacing the beater when I use it again. I want to buy some at a good price because I love the mixer.

The flat beater has been chipping for a few years. Starts small and grows. My daughter also has a problem with the same model. I think Kitchenaide should replace the faulty beater at no cost to everyone who has it. I adore the mixer but won’t buy it for my other daughter until the beater is better. Constantly replacing a beater is costly.

Since my kids were born, I have had my KitchenAid K45SS. I don’t know what to do. My wire whip has fallen apart and my beater blade is chipping. I haven’t been able to find a blade that is the same size and has good reviews. The mixer is like a family member to me. Please help. Thank you.

I don’t own the Artisan 4. The model is 8L. I have had a KitchenAid model for many years and never had to replace my flat beater, until now. After baking Christmas cookies, I noticed that the beater has a chip and now I don’t want to use it. I never put the beater in the dishwasher. After reading the reviews on the same accessory, I want to know if there is a replacement for the same beater or not. E. Is it compatible with my model? I don’t need a new mixer. I wouldn’t do without this machine and would recommend the KitchenAid mixer, except for the problem with the coated flat beater.

The flat beater’s coating is peeling off where it connects to the blender and at the tip. Not good!

I saved to get a bigger KitchenAid mixer. The one I hsd was reointed. I never put my mixer parts in the dishwasher. Imagine my surprise when making peanut butter cookies and finding all the chips in the dough. I was so upset that I wanted this so much. My beater was 20 years old.

The bowls don’t fit right because of the bad paint finish. The quality was not the same as my old one. It will chip if Dint buys another beater.

After 4 years, the flat beater was full of chips. I had to order another one after calling customer service. I had to pay full price.

The white coating on my beater had fallen off, so I went here to find a replacement. The replacement will probably do the same thing, as I wish I never upgraded with my older model.

I have great success making cookie dough with my mixer. I went to the KitchenAid site to find out how to replace my flat beater. I was surprised to see that other people have the same problem. When I found some of the coating in my cookie dough, I was surprised and not happy.

I’ve had my stand mixer for a couple of years and now all the coating on the beater is peeling into my batter. This is not normal in food usage. Do you have a better beater?

The white paint on this beater is chipping off in places, the worst being the bottom. That isn’t good for us. The glossy finish is dull. I love my mixer.

I got out my paddle to make some Christmas cookies. I don’t have a place to get a replacement this weekend. It’s sad.

My mixer has been with me for 20 years. The parts have been fine until last year when the beater decided to chip. The 20 years of constant service has done it well.

I bought a second mixer. The model I bought was less expensive. The blade is made of metal. The blade was washed. Within one year, the blade left a mark on light colored recipes and on your hands and cloth. I have to pay for a white coated blade because I can’t find my receipt. Kitchen aid should stand behind their product.

I picked out paint chips from my cookie dough. I went to the internet to see if I could buy burnished aluminum. I don’t buy or cook with aluminum. It would be hard to add it as an option. The extra cost to avoid paint chips and aluminum in cookies is paid by most people. This review was part of a promotion. )
