I have used it a dozen times since buying it a year ago. Don’t put it in the dishwasher. The metal scratched my bowl as the tips paint peeling away. I hope we didn’t eat paint chips as I didn’t see the tip until after I made the dough. Kitchen aid products should not break down quickly, not for the prices, even if it is several years old. The white coating on the flex edge doesn’t last as long as I’ve seen in other reviews. Don’t let your expensive bowl get scratched.

It’s a great addition to my stand mixer. It’s similar to all KitchenAid products. I don’t have to stop and take a break down the bowl. Anything that makes a task easier is a big win for me. This is something I would definitely recommend.

The sides of the bowl can be scratched with the flex edge. I don’t have to stop the kitchen aid to get to the sides of the bowl. The attachment does that on its own. Highly recommended for batter and frostings.
