Mr. Coffee Red & Brown 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker FTX49-NP Series has some nice features. The coffee maker is packaged in a styrofoam mold and the contents are secured in a plastic package. The thing that I did was to test Mr. You can set the delay time up to 24 hours, but I also set the alarm. Mr. was done with his coffee a few seconds later. In the warm cycle, I tested this with coffee and tea bags/packets, since I am a tea lover. I put 4 tea bags with a coffee filter in a basket. I used the water filteration disk above the filter basket to clean the water as it dripped to the basket. Coffee is easy to clean, I wiped the outside of the coffee maker with a damp cloth and warm sink/water with dish detergent, and it was very easy to take the filter basket and glass decanter out and soak them in water. The Control Panel is easy to clean and it’s bright so it’s easy to read. There is a Warmer Knob Tempature and I liked it. I adjusted the coffee maker warmer plate to see if it worked after keeping it in the middle. You need to read Mr. Coffee manaul/instruction thoroughly because there are lots of programable functions in this Mr. The Time Delay/brewing coffee later the 1st time I tested it was the most important one. I waited 5 minutes after it didn’t brew and went back to the Mr. The settings were activated by double tapping the Select Button after I set the time for the brew. I noticed a few hours after the coffee was made that I had to leave the brew basket lid open so that the water/moisture wouldn’t stay there for a day or more. Please wet the water filteration disk for the first time. Also wash Mr. After unpacking, use my Mr. coffee glass decanter. The styrofoam particals in the coffee glass decanter solved the fine quick rinse problem. If you use Mr. Coffee Brewing coffee later feature rember after you hit the Delay Brew button and set your delay time up to 24 hours to hit the Select/Off button twice.

This coffee machine has a lot of nice features that I didn’t have on our older coffeemaker, and it has an audible alarm to tell you when the brew cycle is done, which I think is great. I don’t have to check to see if it’s finished. You can hear it when it’s loud. The coffeemaker shuts off after two hours. You know, there is a standard on off switch. The Fresh Brew Timer display lets you know how long the coffee has been on the plate warmer. Once you have read that section of the manual, setting the time and delay brew feature is easy. Two clear windows on the front of the machine make it easy to see the water level. This unit has a water purification system that sits on top of the brew basket. The red arrow shows the months of the year. The red arrow is to be aligned with the month you are in when you start a new filter. This Mr. Coffee has a quick brewing time, the regular/strong brew choices work nicely, the delay and preset brewing times work, and the variable temperature control for keeping brewed coffee at your favorite temperature is very nice. I like that the clock is easy to read. You can set the temperature of the warmer via a dial from low to high. It’s helpful if you don’t want your coffee to be super hot. The shower head feature evenly covers the coffee grounds instead of dripping a small stream in the middle of them resulting in complete saturation of the coffee. The Carafe style pot shape makes it not spill out when pouring a cup of coffee, the inner parts seem very durable to use and clean. I like the feature of pausing and sneaking a cup when I run out to walk the dog. A pot of coffee takes between 7 and 8 minutes to brew. I would recommend this coffeemaker to anyone. I hope to enjoy many years of great coffee. It will look great on your counter. Mr. Coffee FTX Series 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, FTX49-NP is a great price. Great value!
