We bought a dehydrator two weeks ago and love it. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. Since getting it, we have run it almost nonstop. The fruits of the beef jerky have turned out perfect. I don’t recommend this product to anyone looking at dehydrators. We have told friends about it and they have also bought it, so far they have not had a complaint about it. Highly recommended!

The Digital Ekectric Food Dehydrator arrived intact. I started dehydrating fruits and vegetables after reading the instructions. So far, so good! I suggest getting a mandolins slicer for a more even cut.

I received this unit for my birthday. I would like to dehydrate tomatoes. One thing after another, that didn’t happen. After opening the box on Sunday, I dehydrated some Kale to use in soups this winter. It took 5 hours at 95 to dry and I think I could have done it sooner. I’m sure it’s not the quietest model. That doesn’t bother me. I used to own a Ronco and it was great that you could set the timer and temperature and not have to babysit it. I’m thinking about what else I can add to the recipe. Maybe apples. I found a recipe for dried apple pie.

We love our dog. I decided that we needed to have healthier snacks around the house because we are a family of snackers. We made a lot of things like banana chips and such, but mostly kale chips with this dehydrator. If you put some olive oil and garlic powder on it, you can make a very addictive snack out of it. No junk food or grease. The dehydrator is easy to use and clean. We set it and walked away. When the time is over, it stops. It’s great!

I have owned this for two weeks now and it has been running continuously since I got it, I would suggest you look on. tub for recipes you would be interested in, and be sure to get them from those that have been doing it for a while, and I also like the Hi Mountain jerky seasonings. Hetnjerky. I got mine from Cabelas and watched their video on you. Don’t forget to dry your favorite fruits and fruit roll ups, they turn out just like candy, and just as sweet, I ended up buying all the racks I could put on it. I like the one that has the heat from the bottom, not the top, and the timer is a plus, so don’t just set their get out and get one. The beginner and seasoned person will enjoy this one. My son and daughter will be getting one for Christmas.

I have never dehydrated before, but I am interested in long term food storage. I watched a lot of videos. I tried it out for the first time. I bought a bag of vegetables. You need to use the screens as a pattern to line the trays. I ordered 4 mesh screens on MySaveMall. I put a paper towel in the center hole before filling the tray. I put a paper towel under the hole. The hole blocker needs to be removed before the tray can be placed. I put 3 cups of veggies in each of the 6 trays. I handed out 2 of the trays with half a cup left in the bag. The temperature was set at 125 degrees. I let them sit for an hour after they were done. 3 cups were dehydrated to 1/3 cup. I put 2 trays worth of cups in a jar with an inch or so of headroom. I want to remove the air from my jar. When rehydrated, 1/3 cup is equivalent to 15oz can. There are many ideas about how long these will last, but 2 years seemed to be the most talked about. I wore gloves and a hair net. I told my friends to keep me from cleaning. “

I was skeptical at first because of the price, but this thing works great. It’s a great feature that you can set a timer and walk away. I wouldn’t have one if it weren’t for it. It does an excellent job of making venison jerky. I have an extra set of trays that I can use to make around 3 – 3 1/2 lbs each time. Very happy with the purchase.
