The cooker does its job well. I tried 3 other manufacturers and none of them performed like this Salton product. Iron cookware is required for cooking. We. There were a lot of pots and pans at the thrift stores. The heating is very fast. The unit can be set to hold a temperature, or to heat as if it were a stove burner. It works well with my heavy piece of equipment. It’s great with cast iron frying pans. Only the pan and the food get hot in the kitchen. You can put a dry paper towel on the cook surface, put your pan on top of the towel, and cook your meal without damaging the paper towel! It is amazing. It works well as a slow cooker, holding 175 or 250 for hours on end. I’m doing my best with this review because I’m surprised no one has done any marketing on these cooker. You’ll love it if you get one.

It’s quieter than my electric stove because it gets water to the boiling point fast. I don’t use my regular stove anymore.

I was looking for a cook top that I could try out. I don’t want to order from an infomercial since I think they are a lot of smoke and mirrors. They are available at Showcare stores. I was able to find a store similar to the Nuwave on the MySaveMall website. I picked one up after work after I found out they were in- stock. The intervals between the temperature settings were too large. This isn’t called precision. At 10F degree intervals, the Nuwave claims precision. The product has a degree interval. I didn’t get much control over my electric stove. The water was boiling at a faster rate. Not on this one. I used the pot that came with my electric stove. My biggest concern is with the safety of the device. Some studies suggest that if you research on the internet, you should not be in the cooker. Some people think it is safe. I returned it because of the lack of precision and the noisy fan. I don’t want to get sick.
